A delicately carved Staunton wooden chess set in black, accompanied by a wooden folding chessboard, which also acts as a storage case for the chess pieces. A nice little set, to have fun with family and friends. The pieces are in a very good condition, though the chessbaord is a bit aged, with some scruff marks, but is very sturdy and strongly built.
