The product is a set of STAUNTON wooden chess pieces, with a large solid chessboard measuring 45 x 45 x 2 cms squared, King stand at a mighty 3.25 inches.(8.25 cm).The pieces are weighted, felted, and lacquered in a brown and cream colour. This is a no - nosense chess set, with rounded and sturdy chess pieces, which to me look like Lardy's but I am not an expert in this field so you must make up your own mind. The Chessboard is solid and thick- 2.0 cm and is heavy, hence the high postage, as the set would be sent in two separate posts, due the the delicate nature of the chess pieces and the Chessboard. This is a used item, so please allow for small wear and tear, commensurate with age and usage. There are some small damage to the cheessboard, as shown in the images., but this does not interfere with the play in anyway. Not many sets like this one come on the market very often; a real Collectors' item. This is your chance to own it.
